Honest Assessment

PopSQL has more database connectors, scheduled queries, dashboards, and cursor tracking that PipeQL doesn't have yet. If those features are critical, evaluate carefully. PipeQL's advantages are transparent pricing, active development, and dedicated support — we're growing while PopSQL is sunsetting.

FAQ

Migration Questions

Common questions about switching from PopSQL.

How long does migration typically take?

Most teams complete migration in under 2 hours. Larger teams with extensive query libraries may take a day. We recommend running both tools in parallel for a week before fully switching.

Can I import my saved queries automatically?

Yes. Export your queries from PopSQL as SQL files, then use our bulk import feature. Your queries and folder structure can be preserved.

What about scheduled queries?

Scheduled query execution is on our roadmap for Q2 2026. In the meantime, teams use dbt Cloud, Airflow, or other orchestration tools for scheduled workflows.

Is PipeQL really ready for production?

Yes. Unlike some alternatives that are waitlist-only, PipeQL is production-ready today. Teams are actively using it for daily SQL work.

What if I need features PopSQL has that PipeQL does not?

We are transparent about our roadmap. Scheduled queries and dashboards are coming. If a feature is critical for your workflow, contact us - we prioritize based on customer feedback.

Do you offer migration assistance for enterprise teams?

Yes. For teams of 20+ users, we offer complimentary migration support including a dedicated onboarding call, custom import scripts, and priority support during transition.
